Why I'm building this
I built a practice trainer for myself because I wanted short daily sets instead of long sessions. I used it for English, Math and Reading for about two months, and my ACT composite went from a 26 to a 30. A friend used it the same way and went from a 28 in June to a 35 in September.
Two people is not proof. We were also studying other ways, retaking helps on its own, and your result will be different. What I can say is that the trainer is real, I used it, and Stratica Prep is that idea turned into an app.
Composite scores from our own ACT score reports, shared with permission. This was my early personal practice trainer, not the app, which isn't built yet.
What we're building
Stratica Prep is still in development, so this list is the plan, not a finished product.
Short sessions
Lessons sized for a few minutes at a time, so practice fits between school, sports and everything else.
English, Math and Reading
One app for the three subjects we're starting with. Science isn't in the first release.
Calm and clear
Plain language and simple screens. No cartoon mascots, no hype, no wasted time.

Questions
When does it launch?
We're aiming for early 2027. Dates can move, and we'd rather get it right than rush it.
How much will it cost?
We're planning around $14.99 a month. That's an estimate and it isn't final. Joining the waitlist is free and doesn't commit you to anything.
How is this different from other ACT prep?
Most ACT prep is built for a free Saturday: a full-length practice test, a thick book, a plan you'll start Monday. Stratica Prep is being built for the five minutes you already have, in the lunch line, on the bus, before practice. One small set, a quick "here's why," and you're done. It works the way language apps do: small steps, every day.
Is this the official ACT prep?
No. Stratica Prep is an independent study app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by ACT.
Which subjects are included?
English, Math and Reading to start. Science isn't in the first release.
I'm a parent. What should I know?
Stratica Prep is for people aged 13 and older, and joining the waitlist is free. We save an email address and the date, we check the birth month and year once and don't save them, and we only email about launch and early access. The planned price is around $14.99 a month, which isn't final. To have an address deleted, email [email protected]. Stratica Prep is independent and not affiliated with ACT.
What happens to my email?
We use it only to tell you about launch and early access. Read the short privacy notice below.
Privacy notice
The short version, for this waitlist only. A full privacy policy comes with the app.
- What we collect
- Your email address and the date you signed up. If you answer the optional price question after signing up, we save your answer with your email. We ask for your birth month and year only to check you're 13 or older, and we don't save them. If you arrive from a link we shared, we also save a short tag from that link (such as which post it was) with your signup. After you join you also get a personal share link, so we can count the friends who join from it; if you joined from a friend's link, we save that link's code (not your friend's email) with your signup. We never email your friends for you. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, also sees your IP address and device details when you visit. To limit abuse we also keep your IP address for about 10 minutes to count signup attempts.
- What we use it for
- To email you about Stratica Prep's launch and early access. Nothing else. We don't sell or share your email.
- Who it's for
- Stratica Prep is for people aged 13 and older.
- Unsubscribe or delete
- Email [email protected] with the word "unsubscribe" and we'll delete your email address. Every email we send will say how to do this too.
- The question box
- If you use "Ask anything else" in the FAQ, the text you type is sent to our server and, if it matches a topic on this page, to an AI service run by Cloudflare so it can write an answer. We don't save your questions or the answers. To limit abuse we keep your IP address for about 10 minutes to count questions. The box is for people 13 and older. Please don't type personal information there. The Ask tab in the practice questions works the same way: what you type is sent to the same AI service, we don't save it, and we keep your IP address for about 10 minutes to count questions.
- Where it's stored
- With our hosting provider, Cloudflare, in a private list only we can open.
